Please remember to include your registration confirmation number on your check.

Class Information

New Kodaly-based curriculum will be created for each session, so your child will benefit from participating in classes at Bentley Music Academy all year long!

A small snack will be provided to each student after his/her music class. This gives students (and parents) the opportunity to socialize with others in the class.

Class size is limited to ensure that each child receives the full benefit and experience of the lessons. Please fill out our on-line registration form. After a class is full, a waiting list for that class will be maintained. Parents on the waiting list will be contacted if a spot in that class becomes available.

Class Schedule

Thank you for your interest. Bentley Music Academy is currently closed. Mrs. Bentley is expecting her third boy in November and is starting her maternity leave. At this point we haven't finalized a re-open date, but likely it would be sometime late Spring or Summer 2012.

Email us at: BentleyMusicAcademy@gmail.com to be placed on our mailing list for all the latest news including updates about our re-opening. You can also check back here for the latest announcements and sign-ups once available.

Class Policies

Each class lasts for 30 minutes and will start on-time. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the beginning of class so that your child does not miss any class curriculum.

It is required that a parent stays in one of the waiting areas during your child's music class in case your child needs to use the restroom. There will be seating in our music room, or parents may also wait in the adjoining preschool classroom. Please remain quiet so as not to disturb the focus of the lesson. Please do not eat any food in the classrooms or allow any waiting siblings to play with the toys or equipment owned by Saint Andrew's Children's Center.

Which Class is Right
For Your Child?

Baby Bach Class (ages 0-2 years)

In this class, babies will enjoy a musical experience while their parents learn how and what to sing in order to maximize their child's early cognitive and musical development.

Mini-Mozart Class (ages 2-3.5 years)

In this class, children actively participate with the support of Mom or Dad. Your child will learn to sing simple songs, chants, and fingerplays as well as experience the fun of classroom rhythm instruments and basic circle games.

Copland Combo Class (ages 2-5 years)

In this class, the youngest children participate with the support of Mom or Dad while the older children participate independently. All children will sing a variety of songs and chants as well as experience the fun of classroom rhythm instruments and basic circle games.

Budding Beethoven Class (ages 3.5-6 years)

In this class, children participate independently while Mom or Dad observes. Your child will learn to sing more complex songs and chants as well as experience the fun of classroom rhythm instruments and musical games.

Each six week session, all students ages 2 and older will be introduced to a different wind, string or percussion instrument (including a live demonstration).

Sick Policy and
Makeup Lessons

We thank you in advance for keeping your child at home if he/she has been sick within 24 hours of music class, including but not limited to a cold, fever, cough, vomiting, diarrhea, any sort of skin or eye infection or anything else which may be contagious. We use instruments every music class, and a sick child in attendance could easily spread illness to others.

Please contact Mrs. Bentley by phone or email to reschedule a class if your child has missed one due to illness.
